ROLE OF THE QUALITY UNIT
ISO 9001:2000

The primary function of the Quality Unit has been designing, developing and assisting in the implementation of (Quality) Management Systems to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Standard.

In the current scope for certification the Implementation and Standardization Divisions are included as core process areas. Supporting services which are an integral part of the QMS are provided by the Human Resource, Purchasing, Information Technology and Quality Units.

OTHER FUNCTIONS OF THE QUALITY UNIT
Other Functions

The Quality Unit has been directed to conduct some internal surveys and other project-type work as part of its support function in TTBS.

Some surveys and projects included: cell phone survey, office layout design, assisting in seminars and conferences, review of draft ISO documents and TTBS website development.

Under the Standards Act, 1997 the term Quality is used in a number of places:
