Quality Policy

The Management of the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards, the National Standards Body is fully committed to the provision of products and services in the areas of Standards Development, Conformity Assessment (which includes Inspection for Compliance, Testing, Certification, Calibration, and Accreditation) and related activities to ensure an acceptable level of satisfaction for all our customers and stakeholders. Services provided shall be:

(a) for improvement of goods produced or used in Trinidad and Tobago,
(b) to ensure industrial efficiency and development,
(c) to promote public and industrial welfare, health and safety; and
(d) for the protection of the environment.

The provision of these products and services will be undertaken with integrity, professionalism, timeliness, reliability and efficiency, consistent with internationally accepted procedures and levels of quality. We shall conform to the requirements of the Standards Act and other relevant legislation in the application of this policy.

In pursuance of this policy, the Management of the Bureau will take all necessary steps including the provision of resources to ensure that the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood, implemented and maintained at all levels in the organization. As part of its commitment to this policy, Management will cultivate a working environment that fosters professional development of all staff, as it strives for continual improvement of the Quality System.
